Auburn football injury update: Hugh Freeze Confirm Two Top Talented Auburn Superstars Now Ruled Out For The Season

Auburn football experienced minimal injuries during their Week 4 game against Arkansas, aside from what appeared to be a serious leg injury to defensive back Champ Anthony. Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze provided an update on Monday, stating that Anthony had a successful surgery and remains in good spirits. However, no additional details were given about the injury.

The players who missed the game were kicker Alex McPherson, tight end Brandon Frazier, and cornerback Tyler Scott. Scott is out for the season after suffering an ACL injury during summer workouts, while Frazier broke his foot in Week 4.

McPherson, recovering from a gastrointestinal illness that sidelined him earlier in the season, was seen warming up before the Arkansas game.

When asked about McPherson’s potential return, Freeze said he defers to the doctors but noted that McPherson has started kicking “some” during practice. There was no clear timeline for when he might be fully back in action. Despite these setbacks, Auburn’s injuries have not significantly impacted the team, apart from the loss of key players like Scott and Frazier.
