Good News: Just In Houston Astros Officially Announced The Signing Of Another Top Yankees Star

The New York Yankees have traded outfielder Taylor Trammell to the Houston Astros, as reported by Chandler Rome of *The Athletic*. Trammell, 26, spent most of the 2024 season in Triple-A with Scranton, where he showcased both power and speed, hitting 18 home runs and stealing 20 bases over 106 games. The left-handed outfielder also made limited appearances in the majors with the Yankees and Dodgers this year.

Throughout his MLB career, spanning 126 games, Trammell has hit 15 home runs but has struggled with consistent contact, holding an 82 wRC+.

Added to the Yankees’ 40-man roster just recently, Trammell will now join the Astros, where he’s expected to add depth to their outfield. Given the Yankees’ outfield options, including Jasson Dominguez in left and Trent Grisham as a likely fourth outfielder, Trammell became expendable. The Astros gain a player with notable power and speed who can cover all three outfield positions, though he has a high strikeout tendency.

In return for Trammell, the Yankees will receive cash considerations, according to Joel Sherman of the *New York Post*.
