“I will Leave For Him To Play” Following Flames Defeat Another Top Experienced Star Announced His Decision To Leave

The Montreal Canadiens have reassigned forward  to their AHL affiliate, the Laval Rocket, as of Monday.

Gignac was briefly called up to join Montreal’s lineup for their final preseason game against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday. However, with the regular season starting soon, the Canadiens decided to return the 26-year-old to the AHL. Gignac, who has spent the majority of his recent career in the minors, is expected to continue there for most of the upcoming season.

While he brings experience and depth to the organization, Gignac has yet to secure a regular role in the NHL. His time with Laval last season showcased his abilities, but for now, he will look to make an impact with the Rocket. This move allows the Canadiens to keep Gignac close by if they need to bring him up again, depending on team needs or injuries throughout the season.

As Gignac heads back to Laval, he’ll focus on honing his skills and maintaining readiness for any potential NHL opportunities that may come his way.
