Good News: Just In Pittsburgh Steelers bring back Fans Favorite speedy veteran RB Star.

Running back Jonathan Ward has rejoined the Pittsburgh Steelers’ practice squad, the organisation announced Tuesday. Prior to the team’s victory over the Washington Commanders on Saturday, Ward was let go to make room for Tyler Matakevich and Ben Skowronek, who will be returning. Ward had played three games after being promoted from the practice squad, but he had only been on the active roster for one. The Steelers can always call him back up from there now that he’s back on the practice squad.

Following a tryout at rookie minicamp, Ward was signed, and during training camp, he immediately set himself apart from the other players. The Steelers looked to Ward to become a key member of the special team in addition to filling the vacuum as a running back when injuries arose in the running back room. But when Cordarrelle Patterson came back, the seasoned running back took over Ward’s responsibilities. Ward, a 2020 NFL Draft undrafted free agency from Central Michigan, has played for several teams, but the Arizona Cardinals have given him the longest tenure in the league.
