BREAKING: Josh Hart Sends Another Urgent Trade Deadline Message

With the MLB trade deadline looming on Thursday, July 31, the New York Yankees remain active in trade rumors. One of the team’s most recognizable fans, New York Knicks guard Josh Hart, took to social media to urge ESPN insider Jeff Passan for a positive update.

Hart, 30, tagged Passan in a post pleading for good news regarding the Yankees, signaling his hope that the team isn’t done dealing. Despite already pulling off two trades, Hart appears eager for more moves.

“Come on, Jeff Passan, give us some good Yankee news!” Hart wrote.

So far, the Yankees have acquired third baseman Ryan McMahon from the Rockies and versatile infielder/outfielder Amed Rosario from the Nationals. The front office is reportedly still exploring options for additional pitching help—either in the rotation or bullpen—but nothing has materialized yet.

McMahon is expected to take over as the Yankees’ everyday third baseman. Through his first three games in pinstripes, the 30-year-old is hitting an impressive .444 with a .593 on-base percentage, four hits, three RBIs, and 16 home runs on the season overall.

Rosario, 29, offers positional flexibility, able to play shortstop, second base, or in the outfield. Though he’s only had one at-bat since joining the Yankees, he’s hitting .275 on the season with five homers, 41 hits, and 18 RBIs. He figures to be a useful bench option to give regular starters a breather.

Whether or not Hart gets his wish remains to be seen. But with a strong core and one of MLB’s more reliable lineups, a trade for a quality arm could be the final piece the Yankees need to contend seriously down the stretch.
