In Week 18, Christian Watson, the Green Bay Packers’ best vertical threat, was sidelined due to what is believed to be a ruptured ACL and potential further injuries. Depending on how long Watson will be sidelined at that point, the Packers may need to address the position in free agency and/or the 2025 NFL Draft for the upcoming season. But going into this postseason, that gives the Packers a huge missing component.
Romeo Doubs will return to the active roster following his absence during the regular season final against the Chicago Bears, therefore it is unlikely that the Packers will make a move, but it is still possible. The Packers’ offense becomes more open after Watson is lost because they no longer have their deep threat. Green Bay has about $16 million in salary cap room available if it wishes to make a move. According to Matt LaFleur, they are thinking about expanding the roster this week. Who ought the team to think about?
