Melbourne Storm has announced an exciting partnership with Fiji’s national airline, Fiji Airways, set to last at least three years. The agreement designates Fiji Airways as the Premium Partner of Storm and includes several notable features, such as naming rights for the club’s new first-class gameday hospitality experience at AAMI Park, the establishment of the Fiji Airways Lounge, and the placement of the Fiji Airways logo on the front of Melbourne Storm’s shorts, serving as the team’s new shorts sponsor.
Storm CEO, Justin Rodski, expressed his enthusiasm about this significant partnership, stating, “Today is an exciting day for Melbourne Storm, and we’re very proud to announce a new three-year partnership with Fiji Airways. This partnership is not only about connecting with Fiji Airways and the wonderful people of Fiji but providing an opportunity for Fiji Airways to connect with our members, fans, corporates, and partners, bringing them into the Fiji Airways family.”
Rodski also emphasized the strong passion for rugby league in Fiji and teased forthcoming initiatives that would further enhance the connection between Melbourne Storm and the Fijian community.
Fiji Airways’ Chief Marketing and Customer Officer, Akuila Batiweti, regarded this partnership as a natural progression for both brands, highlighting shared values of family, connection, and exceptional service. Batiweti expressed the excitement of the airline and mentioned their recent accolades, such as being recognized as the best airline in Australia and the Pacific, ranking 15th in the world by SKYTRAX.
With 10 flights a week to Melbourne and Australia, Fiji Airways is looking forward to expanding its presence and influence in the region through this partnership, hoping for a promising future over the next three years and beyond.
