Aston Villa are no longer a team struggling near the bottom of the Premier League league or settling for the dull comforts of mid-table. Instead, under Unai Emery, they are a team capable of competing for a place among Europe’s elite, all while constructing a project that is likely to draw some of the same players who play for those very same clubs.

 

The Villans have simply been transformed under Emery, and after a promising start to the Spaniard’s first full season in command, they appear to be in better shape than ever. Their focus may now shift to the January transfer window, when they are expected to compete for the signing of a specific player South American star.
