Black cats star now labelled ‘a revelation’ as impressive form continues

Dan Ballard has received high appreciation for his efforts for Sunderland in the Championship thus far this season.

After defeating Norwich on Saturday, Sunderland returned to winning ways, moving up to eighth place and only three points out of third.

Tony Mowbray complimented Jack Clarke for his performance as the Black Cats prevailed 3-1.

However, many were also impressed by Sunderland’s defensive stability, which was just as impressive as their lightning-fast assault.

One player who has been praised for his outstanding defensive performances is Dan Ballard, who has been fantastic all season.

Sunderland star praised

Sam Parkin, who was speaking on the What The EFL?! podcast on Monday, had all praise for Ballard’s defensive performances this season.

“Defensively, Ballard has been somewhat of a revelation this year.” Parkin exclaimed, listing all the qualities he admired about this Sunderland squad.

The Northern Irish international has been getting better all year, and last week’s significant loss due to his absence made his return all the more welcome.

His performance will undoubtedly be critical if Sunderland is to maintain their stellar play this season.

What is Dan Ballard’s wage?

Dan Ballard, a football player for the Championship, is already paid a very rich salary at the age of just 23.

He is currently paid £15,000 a week, and according to Capology, his contract has a value of over £3.1 million with four years left on it.

This season’s playoff appearance suggests that, should promotion be earned, there will likely be a monetary incentive in the form of a pay increase.

For now, all we know is that Ballard is well worth the money this season.
