A Day To Remember Forever: BTS Jimin’s Birthday Lights Up China as Jin Makes History with Record-Breaking Solo Tour

Even during BTS’s group hiatus, the global phenomenon shows no signs of slowing down — with Jimin and Jin once again taking center stage for extraordinary achievements.

On October 13, Jimin’s fans in China organized a spectacular birthday celebration that spanned the entire nation. His devoted Chinese fanbase launched an enormous project featuring birthday ads on more than 150 large screens across 90 shopping malls in 63 cities, covering 30 provincial regions. From massive outdoor billboards to dazzling indoor LED displays, city districts were transformed into vibrant tributes to the beloved BTS member.

The highlight came in Shanghai and Tianjin, where 3D mega screens projected a breathtaking video as part of the “2025 Birthday Park Jimin Offline Support Special – Invincible Love.” The mesmerizing visuals drew large crowds and went viral online, once again proving Jimin’s unmatched global influence.

Meanwhile, Jin is wrapping up a historic milestone with his first-ever solo world tour, “#RUNSEOKJIN EP.TOUR,” inspired by his solo variety series Run Seokjin. What began in June at the Goyang Sports Complex quickly evolved into a global success story, with Jin performing in Japan (Chiba, Osaka), the United States (Anaheim, Dallas, Tampa, Newark), the UK (London), and the Netherlands (Amsterdam).

The tour drew over 180,000 fans, including 130,000 in Japan and 100,000 in the U.S., securing Jin the #14 spot on Pollstar’s Top 20 Global Concert Tours — the highest ranking for an Asian soloist. He also landed at #9 on Billboard’s Top Tour Chart, amassing an estimated $32.5 million in total revenue and averaging $2.74 million per city.

Jin also achieved several historic firsts for a Korean solo artist:

  • Performing at London’s O2 Arena
  • Setting an all-time attendance record for a Korean act at Anaheim’s Honda Center
  • Selling out the American Airlines Center in Dallas as a solo performer

Critics were equally impressed. Rolling Stone UK described his concert as “a journey into the world of Kim Seokjin,” while the Los Angeles Times hailed it as “a masterclass in fan engagement.”

Jin is set to conclude his monumental tour with encore shows on October 31 and November 1 at Incheon’s Munhak Stadium, promising an even more immersive experience. “The weather might be cold,” Jin told fans, “but I’ll make sure the stage is full of warmth and excitement. Let’s make memories that last forever.”

From Jimin’s breathtaking birthday celebrations lighting up China to Jin’s record-breaking global tour, BTS continues to redefine the limits of fandom and artistry — one screen and one stadium at a time.
