‘Huge Boost’ West Brom fantastic trio spotted back in training after been sidelined for a long time

“West Bromwich Albion players Darly Dike, Josh Maja, John Swift, and Adam Reach have been captured training together in preparation for their upcoming comebacks in the weeks to come. The club shared a video on their social media channels on November 7th, showcasing these four players who are currently dealing with injuries. They were undergoing a separate training regimen apart from the main group as they work their way back to full fitness.

Dike, the striker, has been out of action since April due to an Achilles injury he sustained during a 2-1 victory against Stoke City. Reach joined him on the sidelines after experiencing a quad injury recurrence while playing for Burton Albion during the pre-season.

Swift and Maja have been significant absences during the current season. Swift, the team’s leading scorer with six goals, had to withdraw from the excellent winning streak the club has been enjoying after suffering a thigh problem in a match against Birmingham City last month. Maja, on the other hand, suffered ankle ligament damage in a goalless draw against Bristol City in September.

Despite their setbacks, all four players were seen in good condition during their training sessions as they continue their recovery. It is expected that Swift and Maja will return to action after the upcoming international break.”

Great news

West Brom is already reaping the benefits of having key players return to action, which is excellent news for both Carlos Corberan and the entire team.

Semi Ajayi, who made a comeback, contributed by scoring a goal in the 3-1 victory over Hull City last Saturday. Additionally, Jeremy Sarmiento, on loan from Brighton, finally made his return as a substitute. The forward positions have been a position of concern for the Baggies’ manager due to limited options, which led to the tactical decision of playing Jed Wallace in an unfamiliar forward role. Surprisingly, this decision has proven to be a stroke of genius, with West Brom currently on a remarkable five-game unbeaten streak and holding the fifth spot in the Championship table.

Although Dike and Reach are not expected to return until the new year, the sight of John Swift and Josh Maja back in training is a significant development for the club. In particular, Swift, who has displayed his creative prowess this season, is highly anticipated. On the other hand, Maja, the former Sunderland and Bordeaux striker, hopes that his return to fitness will lead to a return to form after a somewhat challenging start following his free transfer in the summer.
