Newcastle residents who adore Tiago Djalo
It is hardly surprising that Newcastle is searching Europe for fresh talent in an attempt to maintain its elite status.

Finding new talent for January or next summer is a terrific idea because they have a taste for the Champions League and won’t want to lose out on the competition in the future.

The Portuguese defender has been enjoying his time at Lille, where he has won both the French Super Cup and the Ligue 1 championship.

Djalo is only 23 years old, but he has already played in over 100 games for Lille, and he certainly has the look of a premier defender.

Since Djalo’s contract expires in June 2024, it appears as though Newcastle is holding out to see if they can sign the defender for nothing come summertime.

It would be a huge coup and demonstrate their progress over the previous five years if they could pull this off. Newcastle hopes Eddie Howe’s incredible work at Newcastle continues, as he has received plaudits for it thus far.
