Carlos Corberan confirmed another West Brom star that will leave summer

Potential Departure for West Bromwich Albion Midfielder in the Offing

There is a possibility that West Bromwich Albion’s midfielder, Taylor Gardner-Hickman, might part ways with the club for a nominal fee at the conclusion of the season, despite manager Carlos Corberan’s desire to retain the player at the Hawthorns.

Despite accumulating 29 appearances in the Championship last season, the 21-year-old was loaned out to Bristol City, a fellow second-tier side, for the remainder of the campaign. This arrangement included an option for Bristol City to purchase the player, introducing uncertainty about Gardner-Hickman’s future in the West Midlands.

Journalist Joe Chapman provided insights into Corberan’s plans for the English midfielder, confirming discussions between the manager and Gardner-Hickman. Responding to a Twitter comment, Chapman suggested that Bristol City might activate the option to buy clause. He stated, “Carlos accepts that there is a fair chance that they execute that clause.”

During a recent press conference, Corberan disclosed that West Brom closely monitors the progress of Gardner-Hickman, as well as Cardiff City loanee Karlan Grant and other players out on loan. Corberan emphasized the positive news of these players regularly featuring in the Championship and expressed the club’s keen interest in their performances.

Recent reports have also hinted at the potential departure of Tom Fellows from West Bromwich Albion this winter, with Southampton and Leicester City showing interest in the midfielder.
