Newcastle United star reacts to John Carver comments about him

John Carver spoke about Tino Livramento earlier this week.John Carver

According to the former number two for Newcastle United, Scotland is keeping an eye on the young defender, who turned 21 on Sunday, for senior football.

Carver also mentions (see below) Tino Livramento, Elliot Anderson, and Harvey Barnes, the three NUFC players who are eligible to play for both Scotland and England because of their familial ties.

Tino Livramento is presently traveling with the England Under 21 team as they compete in Euro group qualifications. On Saturday, they will play away in Serbia, and on Tuesday, they will host Northern Ireland at Goodison Park.

Having experienced every age level, I have a great deal of respect and affection for the England setup.

“No decision is being made in a hurry.

“I’m quite content with my current situation.

“With the group I play for [the England Under 21s], the coach, and everything, I’m really happy.”

“I am simply relishing the return to regular training and playing.”

“I’m still young, I have some time to make my decisions, and I’m content right now where I am.

“I haven’t seen anything, and I’m confident that my agency would notify me if there was something that was approaching the level of seriousness.

Right now, I feel quite young and content with my situation.

“I truly enjoy traveling with the team and have many friends in the [England] Under-21s.”

“We have an excellent manager in Lee Carsley, who followed up with me after I got hurt to make sure I was okay.”

“I think I’ve done pretty damn good to move on from that [my year-long absence due to a serious ACL injury].”

“It is something that will always exist and I respect it, but right now we just need to move past it and respect it while concentrating on the future.”

John Carver discussing Tino Livramento with The Herald on November 14, 2023:

He’s a terrific player.

“You are aware that Newcastle is my team.

“I am the one who watches that team the most.”

And he has performed flawlessly.

“But once more, he’s a young player in the process of maturing.

Because of his injuries, he’s attempting to make his way within the Newcastle squad.

“Listen, we need to investigate if he has Scottish relatives of any kind. After then, it’s up to him and them to decide.

Dealing with a player who is so young presents a challenging situation. He’s been on the team because, like Anderson, he’s mature for his age.

However, you must allow these gamers time to grow and practice making choices.

For their future, these are significant choices.

“There’s no doubt that [Scotland] is aware of [Tino Livramento].

“I believe I have already discussed it.”He is being watched, much like many others do, including [Harvey] Barnes, [Elliot] Anderson, and others.

“I will emphasize one thing: it’s crucial that the players who are traveling to represent Scotland want to represent Scotland.

“The most important thing is that these players want to be here and be a part of it, and I’ve always stressed that since I’ve been here, but that’s for the future.”
