Jean-Ricner Bellegarde’s ability to beat players in Pedro Neto’s absence, according to Wolves veteran Dave Edwards, is crucial.
Gary O’Neil’s men had a difficult start to their Premier League campaign, but they have steadied the ship and are currently 12th.
Wolves were defeated by Fulham in the Premier League on Monday, but Edwards reiterated that Bellegarde is doing an excellent job for the squad.
Bellegarde has appeared in five league games for O’Neil’s team this season, assisting on two goals.
Their star player, Neto, is presently out with a hamstring injury, but Edwards sees Bellegarde’s ability to take on opponents as a valuable asset.
“It was a fantastic goal from Matheus Cunha,” wrote Edwards in his Express & Star column.
“Bellegarde was brilliant; the more games he plays, the better he’ll get; having him go, past players, is important in the absence of Pedro Neto.”

When Neto returns from his current ailment, Bellegarde will be eager to form a lethal partnership with him.
