Latest News: Just In Los Angeles Rams confirm the signing of another top super star

The Los Angeles Rams are intensifying their playoff push in December by bolstering their roster with the addition of veteran NFL kicker Mason Crosby. The Rams signed the experienced Pro Bowl kicker, formerly of the Green Bay Packers, to the practice squad on December 6, with plans to elevate him to the active roster for the upcoming game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Fans are expressing optimism about the move, seeing it as a strategic step to enhance the team’s chances in the playoff race. The Rams Brothers podcast on Twitter emphasized the need for a reliable kicker for a playoff push and believes Crosby is precisely what the Rams require to navigate the final stretch of the regular season.

Rams fans on social media are echoing this sentiment, recognizing the significance of the signing for a potential playoff run. The consensus among supporters is that a reliable kicker, capable of consistently making 45-yard kicks indoors, is crucial for success in crucial moments.

Some fans are eager to see an immediate change at the placekicker position, expressing a lack of confidence in the current kicker, Lucas Havrisik, particularly in making kicks from the 40-to-49-yard range. The signing of Crosby is seen as a positive move to address this concern.

Meanwhile, the reaction from Green Bay Packers fans varies. Some acknowledge Crosby’s legendary status with the Packers and express happiness for him getting another opportunity with a different team. Despite missing his presence in the Green and Gold, they recognize the business aspect of the NFL and believe Crosby will retire as a Hall of Fame Packer Kicker.

The Rams’ kicking game has faced challenges in the 2023 season, and the addition of Crosby aims to address these issues. Havrisik has struggled from certain distances, prompting the Rams to seek a more reliable option. Crosby, known for his accuracy, boasts a career field goal success rate of 81.4% and is considered one of the league’s more dependable kickers.

While Crosby’s performance on 50-yard attempts may be a slight concern, the Rams are signaling their commitment to addressing any weaknesses as they approach the playoffs. The move to sign Crosby is viewed as a strategic decision to shore up the team’s kicking game and enhance their competitiveness in the postseason race.
