Mowbray’s departure comes with Sunderland currently three points off the top six after 19 games in the current season. The team is now in the process of searching for a new head coach. In the interim, an interim coaching team led by Mike Dodds is set to take charge of the upcoming home match against West Brom on Saturday, with a subsequent fixture against Leeds at the Stadium of Light scheduled for Tuesday, December 12.
