Lewis starred for the Panthers in 2023

Lewis was by far the Panthers’ leading receiver in 2023. The receiver hauled in 70 passes for 877 yards and seven scores. Lewis finished the Sun Belt with the seventh-most receiving yards and the fifth-most catches.

“I feel like Auburn is the right fit for me because of the scheme that they run could fit with me,” Lewis said in an interview with On3. “We were really on the same page about a lot of things regarding my tape while talking about football with Coach Davis.” We were stating the same thing, but in different words. Also, with the function I’ll be assigned in the receiver room, I believe I can help them advance to the next level.”

The former three-star prospect had options

Lewis was rated as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports Composite. The wide receiver attended Newton High School in Covington, Georgia, and committed to the Panthers in 2019.
On December 4th, the receiver accessed the transfer portal. Lewis earned official offers from the East Carolina Pirates, Cincinnati Bearcats, and others after entering, in addition to the Tigers’ offer.

Lewis spent the weekend at Auburn, and it’s evident that the school and personnel left an effect on him.

Lewis is the Tigers’ first formal addition to the portal. Malcolm Johnson Jr., another receiver, has stated his intention to join the gateway, so the arrival of Lewis could soften the damage.
