Packers-Buccaneers Final Injury Report: AJ Dillon Among Seven Questionable

As the Green Bay Packers prepare to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, the final injury report reveals notable updates on player availability. The Packers’ wide receiver Christian Watson is listed as doubtful, while running back AJ Dillon is among seven players designated as questionable.

Dillon, dealing with a broken thumb, returned to practice on Friday, with coach Matt LaFleur mentioning that the thumb was well-padded to assess his readiness for Sunday’s game. The decision hinges on whether Dillon can play without exacerbating the injury or risking a critical fumble. Offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich emphasized the importance of ball security in the decision-making process, highlighting Dillon’s consistent performance in terms of ball security throughout the season.

Watson, who suffered a hamstring injury in the previous game against Kansas City, is doubtful for Sunday’s matchup. Despite making progress in his recovery, the uncertainty of hamstring injuries leaves his availability in question.

Safety Darnell Savage, dealing with a shoulder issue, did not practice and is listed as questionable. If Savage is unable to play, Jonathan Owens and Rudy Ford are potential replacements.

Linebacker Quay Walker, who missed the previous game due to a shoulder injury, practiced for a second consecutive day and is listed as questionable. Running back Aaron Jones (knee) and cornerback Jaire Alexander (shoulder) are also questionable but participated in practice throughout the week.

Left guard Elgton Jenkins, who returned to practice on Friday after missing Thursday’s session, is not on the final injury report. Receiver Jayden Reed is also not listed.

The Buccaneers’ final injury report is yet to be announced, providing further insight into the potential matchups and challenges both teams will face on Sunday. The status of key players like Dillon, Jones, Alexander, and others will play a crucial role in the Packers’ strategy as they aim for success against the Buccaneers.
