Breaking News: Pittsburgh Steelers confirm to welcome another top super star

The Pittsburgh Steelers have elevated linebacker Kyron Johnson from the practice squad to the Active/Inactive Roster for their Saturday game against the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium. This move is part of a temporary promotion for the game, and Johnson will revert back to the practice squad after the conclusion of the matchup.

Kyron Johnson joined the Steelers’ practice squad on October 10 and has previously been activated for the Week 13 game against the Arizona Cardinals and the Week 14 game against the New England Patriots. The linebacker, originally drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, played in 16 games last season, primarily contributing on special teams.

During his college football career at the University of Kansas, Johnson garnered recognition as an All-Big 12 selection in his senior year. In that standout season, he recorded impressive statistics, including 61 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, and forced four fumbles, ranking third in the Big 12 for forced fumbles. Additionally, he recovered two fumbles, showcasing his impact on the defensive side of the ball.
