Breaking: Just In Brian Gutekunst Officially Signed A Top Talented 5 Star Rated Defender On A Blockburster Deal $556.3M On A 5 Years Contract Deal.

The Green Bay Packers are a fascinating team to watch as the 2025 NFL Draft approaches further. The Packers want to win a title, and Brian Gutekunst still has things to work on.

Given this, if the price is good and the team doesn’t have to forfeit their first-round pick, they might try to make trades for established players. The most likely areas of interest appear to be wide receiver room, pass rush, and cornerback talent addition.

Green Bay may try to acquire one interesting player as a trade target.

Jack Jones, a cornerback for the Las Vegas Raiders, has been mentioned as a possible trade target during the past week. It appears likely that the Raiders would release him if they are unable to trade for him. They appear to be prepared to separate ways.

For candidates in need of secondary assistance, Jones would be a very intriguing target.

The Packers have been mentioned by Dharya Sharma of The Sporting News as a possible trade or free agency destination for Jones in the event of his release.

“The Packers added a former Raider to their secondary in free agency, inking Nate Hobbs to a three-year contract to serve as the primary nickel corner. Why not take a flyer on Jones and reunite him with Hobbs? Green Bay lost Eric Stokes to Las Vegas in free agency, and replacing him with Jones would be a solid move by general manager Brian Gutekunst.”

During the 2024 NFL season with Las Vegas, Jones played in 17 regular season games. He recorded 69 total tackles to go along with three interceptions, a defensive touchdown, and 16 defended passes.

At 27 years old, Jones played at a very high level last season. If he can continue to play at that level, he could elevate any secondary in the NFl. For Green Bay, he would be worth taking a flier on if the Packers decide to move on from Jaire Alexander.
