Seattle Seahawks Bolster Offensive Line by Signing Tackle Luke Felix-Fualalo
The Seattle Seahawks continue to make strategic roster moves during the offseason, announcing the signing of offensive tackle Luke Felix-Fualalo. The move reinforces the team’s offensive line depth and signals a commitment to building protection up front as they transition into a new era under head coach Mike Macdonald.
Felix-Fualalo, an Australian-born lineman, comes to Seattle with intriguing upside and physical tools. Standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing around 315 pounds, he boasts the prototypical frame of an NFL tackle. His collegiate career at the University of Oregon showcased his athleticism, powerful base, and versatility across the offensive line — traits that undoubtedly caught the eye of the Seahawks’ front office.
Though not one of the most talked-about prospects in the 2024 NFL Draft class, Felix-Fualalo’s tape revealed consistency in pass protection and a strong ability to handle bull rushers and set the edge in the run game. He was a key contributor for Oregon’s offense, which was among the most productive in the country. His experience facing high-caliber Pac-12 pass rushers gives him a solid foundation to compete at the pro level.
Seattle’s offensive line has been a focus area this offseason, particularly following the departure of some veteran players and injury setbacks from the 2023 campaign. The addition of Felix-Fualalo gives the Seahawks a developmental prospect who can compete for a backup role immediately, with the potential to become a starter in the future. His signing aligns with the team’s broader strategy of blending youthful potential with veteran leadership in the trenches.

Head coach Mike Macdonald and general manager John Schneider emphasized the importance of solidifying the offensive line in their offseason press conferences. “We want to control the line of scrimmage — it’s where every play starts,” Macdonald said earlier this month. “Adding a guy like Luke brings more competition and toughness to our group.”
Felix-Fualalo is expected to participate in Seattle’s upcoming mandatory minicamp, where he’ll begin integrating into the Seahawks’ offensive system and working with position coaches to refine his technique. While it remains to be seen how quickly he will adjust to the speed and complexity of the NFL, the Seahawks are optimistic about his long-term value.
With training camp on the horizon, the signing of Luke Felix-Fualalo may prove to be one of the under-the-radar moves that strengthens the Seahawks’ offensive foundation for years to come.
