BREAKING NEWS: The Reds Excites Fans Announcing Another Stunning Long-Awaited Move

Cam Collier is set to reunite with fellow 2022 draft pick Sal Stewart in southeast Tennessee, as he announced on social media that he’s heading to Double-A Chattanooga. This promotion brings Collier another step closer to reaching the Major Leagues.

Nearly three years ago, the Reds selected Collier in the first round of the MLB Draft. The power-hitting third baseman — and son of former MLB player Lou Collier — unexpectedly fell to Cincinnati at pick No. 18 and has been steadily progressing through the minor league system since then.

An early-season wrist injury during spring training delayed Collier’s promotion. After beginning his recovery with the ACL Reds, the 20-year-old moved on to High-A Dayton. Following 11 games and close to 50 at-bats with the Dayton Dragons, Reds scouts have determined that he’s ready to take on the next level of competition.

Reds just gave their top prospect Cam Collier a promotion to Double-A Chattanooga

Questions surrounding Cam Collier’s physical conditioning heading into the season have been firmly put to rest. The young infielder arrived at the Arizona Complex League in excellent shape and is determined to silence his critics.

While some scouts remain skeptical about Collier’s long-term future at third base, the Reds aren’t ready to move on from the idea just yet. Although a shift across the infield might be in his future, Collier will continue to receive ample chances to prove he can handle the hot corner.

“Go time now,” Collier posted on social media on June 16, 2025, signaling his readiness for the next step.

With both Collier and fellow top third base prospect Sal Stewart now on the Double-A Chattanooga Lookouts roster, it’ll be intriguing to see how the Reds manage the duo. Collier’s arrival could even lead to Stewart’s promotion to Triple-A Louisville, setting off a chain reaction in the Reds’ farm system.

Before moving up to Double-A, Collier posted a strong .293/.370/.415 line in 46 plate appearances at High-A Dayton. Over his minor league career, he has slashed .258/.365/.417 with 30 home runs and 156 RBIs.
