BREAKING NEWS: The Tigers Gets Another Stunning News Involving Bruce Pearl

Auburn men’s basketball coach Bruce Pearl chose not to comment on speculation about a possible U.S. Senate run when questioned by AL.com on Wednesday.

Pearl was present at the SEC spring meetings alongside the conference’s football and basketball coaches. However, each time he exited the meetings, he avoided speaking with reporters, holding his phone to his ear as he passed by, unlike other coaches who stopped for interviews.

The questions followed a Semafor report suggesting Pearl was being considered as a potential candidate to replace Tommy Tuberville, who recently announced his campaign for governor.

Tuberville told Semafor he was “doubtful” that Pearl would pursue the Senate seat, adding, “I wouldn’t let him do it because he’s done such a great job at Auburn.”

“We need him there,” he said.

Pearl, who has been Auburn’s head coach since 2014, is known for being vocal about his political views on X (formerly Twitter), frequently expressing support for Israel.

In April, he was appointed chair of the board for the U.S. Israel Education Association. He also recently shared his opinions on a potential nuclear agreement with Iran.

During Auburn’s NCAA tournament run, Pearl used his platform to call for the release of Edan Alexander, an American who had been held hostage in Gaza.

After Auburn’s second-round victory over Creighton, Pearl opened his press conference by stating, “I want to remind the world that Edan Alexander is still held hostage in Gaza right now. An American held hostage. And not enough people in this country know his name.”
