As BTS continues to dominate the global stage—even during their group hiatus—two members have once again captured worldwide attention for remarkable reasons.
On October 13, Jimin’s fans in China celebrated his birthday with an extraordinary display of devotion. His Chinese fanbase launched one of the largest fan projects ever seen, lighting up more than 150 giant screens across 90 shopping malls in 63 cities throughout 30 provinces. From bustling outdoor billboards to sleek indoor digital screens, each display served as a glowing tribute to Jimin, transforming cityscapes into breathtaking declarations of love.
The celebration reached its peak in Shanghai and Tianjin, where massive 3D screens showcased a stunning visual as part of the “2025 Birthday Park Jimin Offline Support Special – Invincible Love.” The spectacle drew huge crowds, trended across social media, and reinforced Jimin’s unmatched influence and fan power.
Meanwhile, fellow member Jin has been making history of his own with his first-ever solo world tour, “#RUNSEOKJIN EP.TOUR,” which grew out of his solo variety series Run Seokjin. What began modestly at Goyang Sports Complex in June expanded into a global phenomenon, spanning Japan (Chiba, Osaka), the U.S. (Anaheim, Dallas, Tampa, Newark), the UK (London), and the Netherlands (Amsterdam).
Jin’s tour attracted over 180,000 concertgoers—130,000 in Japan and 100,000 in the U.S. alone—earning him a place at #14 on Pollstar’s Top 20 Global Concert Tours. With an average city revenue of $2.74 million, Jin achieved the highest figure ever for an Asian solo artist. He also reached #9 on Billboard’s Top Tour chart, amassing approximately $32.5 million in total revenue.
Along the way, Jin became the first Korean soloist to:
- Perform at London’s iconic O2 Arena
- Set a new attendance record for a Korean artist at Anaheim’s Honda Center
- Sell out Dallas’s American Airlines Center as a solo act
Critics were equally impressed. Rolling Stone UK hailed his concert as “not just a K-pop event, but an immersive experience into Kim Seokjin’s world,” while the Los Angeles Times described it as “a masterclass in fan connection and artistry.”
