GOOD NEWS: 4-Star Georgia Target Posts Tantalizing Social Media Message, Fans Jubilating

ATHENS, Ga. — One of Georgia’s top remaining targets in the 2025 recruiting class has Bulldog Nation buzzing after a cryptic message posted to social media late Wednesday night.

Jaylen Simmons, a 4-star wide receiver out of Tampa, Florida, took to X (formerly Twitter) with a brief but tantalizing post:

“Home is where the ‘Dawgs run wild… 🐾👀 #Decisions”

The post immediately set off a wave of speculation among Georgia fans and recruiting analysts alike, many interpreting the message as a strong hint that the No. 12-ranked receiver in the nation is leaning toward committing to UGA.

Simmons, who holds over 30 offers from Power Five programs, has narrowed his list down to Georgia, Florida State, Texas, and Tennessee. He’s scheduled to take official visits to Athens and Tallahassee in June, but has been widely viewed as a Georgia lean in recent weeks due to his growing relationship with wide receivers coach James Coley and offensive coordinator Mike Bobo.

“He’s electric with the ball in his hands and fits exactly what Georgia wants in a slot weapon,” said 247Sports recruiting analyst Andrew Ivins. “This kind of post doesn’t happen out of nowhere. There’s real smoke around Georgia.”

The 6-foot, 180-pound speedster has drawn comparisons to former Bulldog Mecole Hardman due to his breakaway speed and return ability. He finished his junior season with over 1,100 all-purpose yards and 12 touchdowns, including four on special teams.

While Simmons has yet to set a commitment date publicly, Wednesday’s post could indicate an earlier decision is looming.

Head coach Kirby Smart and his staff are assembling another elite class, currently ranked No. 3 nationally per the 247Sports Composite. Landing Simmons would not only bolster Georgia’s offensive weaponry but also reaffirm the program’s national recruiting pull in Florida.

For now, fans will have to wait — but if Simmons’ post is any clue, the Bulldogs could soon be adding another major playmaker to their 2025 class.
