Wales manager Rob Page has named his 26-man squad for the forthcoming international break, including Leeds United winger Daniel James.
The Leeds attacker returns to the Wales team after missing the previous international break in September.
The roster announced for the next matches is strong, with Wales facing Croatia in a UEFA Euro 2024 qualifier.
It’s nice to see Dan James back in the Wales team, and it demonstrates how well he’s been playing for Leeds recently.
Daniel James’ good form for Leeds sees him back in Wales squad
James had a difficult start to the season, unable to make an impression for Leeds, but he has vastly improved in the last four games.
He has three assists in four games, while Leeds has three wins and one loss to help them climb the table. Manager Daniel Farke described the player as “excellent.”
This is undoubtedly a factor in his recall to the Wales squad, and hopefully his fine form will continue throughout the international break.
This would undoubtedly provide him good motivation to return to Leeds and continue to succeed as he has in the last month.
When is the international break?
The next international break will commence on October 9th, 2023. James will be eligible for selection for Leeds United in their forthcoming games against QPR and Bristol City before departing for international duty with Wales.
Leeds’ first Championship match following the international break will be against Norwich City on October 21st.
No doubt, everyone connected with Leeds will be keeping an eye on the winger over the international break.
